New Malbis ED just opened with no waiting-room back-log for 87yo who fell, bumped head and cut hand. CT of head and x-ray of leg negative.Kept waiting four hours.Total time five hours. Finally came in to sew hand and started suturing before Lidocaine could take effect with patient obviously in pain. Sent family member out to get his gloves. Staff apathy for new opening malignant. Mobile Infirmary still does not understand customer service and losing patients and physicians to other hospitals. My family will not return to these poorly managed facilities. My father-in-law could not walk from the car to the house due to poor care. He has written off this beautiful facility with an empty parking lot.
My name is Wayland K. Woodson. I was discharged from room 2306 yesterday 11/9/2017. My stay in hospital was awesome!!! All personal from room cleaners to doctors and especially the nurses(Katie, Emily, Richard, Kathleen Parks, and others were so nice and attentive. I met some really nice people!!! I recently had my son at Thomas Hospital in there new maternity wing. The nurses and staff were amazing!!! My son & myself were well taken care of!!! They were hands on and helpful and took the time to make sure you as a new Mom were there priority. Pamela, Lucy, Audry just to name a few outstanding! Thank you all for making this new Mom feel more comfortable taking on her new roll!!!

I cannot stress how unbelievably unprofessional and straight up GHETTO the grill attendant in the cafeteria was. I guess I happen to visit when the breakfast was ending and lunch started. I was looking around and had not even spoken a word and the guy said "NOT TILL ELEVEN"! I should mention that the little window area already had prepared chicken and burgers. Honestly, the whole experience was a bit unnecessary! I spoke with the " CHEF" that proceeded to go and prepare my chicken sandwich with a bit if attitude and laughter with the GHETTO line cook that originally gave me an issue. At the end of the day they should quit the job that is makinging then so rude!! I will absolutely be taking this complaint higher than the "CHEF"! Thomas Hospital Employees take note! You work in a hospital and people are already stressed! DON'T ADD TO THAT STRESS BY BEING RUDE!!
This is a review regarding the hospital gift shop. I'm from Adamsville, AL & have family there at Thomas Hosp. I called the gift shop and a most pleasant voice answered. Her name is Betty. She went to some extra trouble for me, was very gracious, and is definitely an asset to the place. She even took the time to text me a photo of the gift w/o being asked and it's perfect! Jack H
