I am highly disappointed in what has become of this practice. As a former employee, I, of course, used the dentist there. Although I no longer work there I still had established dental care with Dr. Sherling and hoped to continue to do so. I had a visit for a toothache in December 2016 and was scheduled immediately with no questions asked. I went in for my appointment, updated the "new" paperwork, and was taken back to see the doctor. I could immediately tell that I wasn't welcome there and was treated very very differently from when I was an employee there. After being very short and saying as little as possible, doctor stated that I needed to be referred to another dentist for further treatment. At the time I thought nothing of it and truly "trusted" my doctors opinion and his "concern" for the well being of my dental health. I just assumed he figured it was better that a specialist take care of these particular dental needs than himself. Looking back at that appointment and his "referral" now makes all the sense in the world. I have veneers on my upper teeth and had one RIGHT in front come off and swallowed in my sleep. Not only do I hurt, YES.. STILL HURT, but I look ridiculous and needed an emergency appointment to have a temporary crown or veneer put on immediately due to the pain and the looks of this and I trusted I could schedule that with my "established" dentist as he had seen me just a few months ago. I call, tell the lady (won't say her name, but it's not her fault anyway), my problem and that I used to work there and had even accepted an office manager position for a very short time before I decided that it was best I not take that position at that point in my life, for the company and myself, and she was very nice and scheduled me same day in the afternoon as I requested. I get a call back from her maybe ten minutes later and she had to leave a voicemail explaining to me that she needs a call from me regarding my appointment that they, "unfortunately", could not see me. I immediately knew why because Since the changes that have happened there in the last two years and the management took over it's ruined everything and everyone in its way until it got its own set of people it wanted. I call back, the same lady answers and I stated my name and asked, "so I guess it's "them" not letting me come back? I was furious! No matter what my past employee status is there, which I was a great employee until I nicely declined that due to personal problems, I am a paying patient that has established my dental needs here and trusted Dr. Sherling. I was told they could not see me and they were sorry. Like I said, I am STILL HURTING and STILL look ridiculous because the doctor declined to see me. I should be treated no different than any other patient that comes and pays their dues. So now , in pain and looking ridiculous, I have to try and call around and find a new dentist to fix something he's never seen before. I totally lost all respect that I had for the staff and doctor. I don't even know the staff anymore, they got rid of everyone that worked there with myself. What happened to me is plain cruel and a dog shouldn't be treated that way. Until this I was honestly fine with all the changes, but this was the icing on the cake! Don't waste your time here, as you can see they sure don't care how you have to walk around looking and how bad your hurting. Isn't that what dentists are there for? To help with this stuff? Sorry for the long one but I wanted it understood the discrimination that was made at me.
I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Sherling and his staff. I am a baby when it comes to my teeth and he was very patient and understanding with me. The front girls were smiling and very welcoming and made me feel less overwhelmed. When I got back to the room Dr. Sherling's assistants were understanding and explained what was happening throughout the whole process. They have the digital xrays so even that part was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Thankfully I was being overly dramatic and there was nothing wrong with the tooth that was bothering me but the whole office made the process so smooth and I am so very thankful for them. Highly recommend this office to anyone who is not a " big fan" of dentists. You cant go wrong with a dentist who can literally do anything that suites your dental needs! I was blown away to find out he does root canals, regular braces, pulls wisdom teeth and even Botox! Thank you guys!
My experience with Bayside Dental care has always been great. I’ve had several procedures without any issues, and the staff has always been very accommodating!
Amazing staff that answers all my questions with a smile.
Dr. Sherling and his staff are top notch when it comes to making a patient feel comfortable in the dental chair. They are very accommodating and if you need to have work done most of the times they can do it the same day as your cleaning which is very convenient. The hygienists are very nice and smart and can offer different products to help with your specific needs. The assistants are very nice and smart as well and are very good at making you feel more comfortable in the chair while having treatment done. I had some fillings completed on my front teeth and could not feel the injections at all and did not have any sensitivity later. They offered to give me some ibuprofen after the procedure which really helped once I was no longer numb; this is the first dental office to ever offer me ibuprofen before leaving the office after having fillings. I highly recommend Bayside Dental Care to all of my friends and family.
